Division of Urology
About the Division
The Division of Urology comprises 12 urologists who are based at one of the three campuses of the Ottawa Hospital or at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). In our general urological service at The Ottawa Hospital sites we have more than 10,000 out-patient visits annually. Our subspecialities include andrology and andropause, clinical epidemiology, incontinence, erectile dysfunction and infertility, urodynamics and neurourology, percutaneous surgery and endourology, reconstructive surgery, renal transplantation, stone disease and urologic oncology. Two of our division faculty are paediatric urologists and are based at CHEO, where all paediatric urological diagnostic and surgical procedures for Eastern Ontario are performed.
Our division is also affiliated with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre. Some of our faculty members provide expertise and service to the surgical oncology program, specifically in the area of genitourinary oncology: bladder cancer, penile cancer, prostate cancer, renal cell cancer and urethral cancer.
Our residency training program emphasizes solid clinical and surgical training, and expertise in all subspecialities is available. Excellent working relationships with interventional radiologists, oncologists and uropathologists further enhance the teaching and clinical environment.
