Biography
Jamie Brehaut holds a PhD in cognitive psychology from McMaster University. Trained in issues of human memory, attention, and cognition, he also has expertise in psychological theory, knowledge translation, judgement and decision making, decision support, and computer usability techniques. He is a Scientist with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine at the University of Ottawa, and a CIHR New Investigator in the area of Knowledge Translation. The primary areas of his research include: 1) Identifying and evaluating cognitive theories relevant to health care knowledge translation and decision support; 2) Understanding and modeling factors related to the health of parents of children with health problems.
