Molecular Immunology
The Makrigiannis laboratory is interested in different aspects of the innate immune system, especially as they pertain to the regulation of Natural Killer (NK) cell function. We are specifically interested in the Ly49 family of class I MHC receptors and how they allow NK cells to control pathogen infections and cancers.
