CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
All first year medical students newly admitted at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa must provide proof of CPR certification before registration in the medical program. Medical students must have completed a Basic Rescuer Level C (Adult, Child, and Infant) course within a year prior to registration in the medical program. This can be completed through any recognized organization such as: the Canadian Red Cross, the St. John Ambulance, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, etc. prior to registration in the program.
