Resident Retreat
In February, the group happily decided to take their minds off OSCEs and ACRs for one day and enjoy our February resident retreat.
After consoling a tired post-call resident or two by promising them that they would have their turn next year, we headed across to “La Belle Province” for a day of learning on the slopes at Camp Fortune.
Beginner and hot-doggers, boarders and freeheelers, all were ready for action. Luckily, the day was one of the best the month had to offer, so we left our warm layers in the car, geared up, and headed out.
The snowboard beginners may have started out with some trepidation…
…but it wasn’t long before they were trying to catch some big air. Luckily, the resulting injuries were only superficial, though we did have a medical team on the ready for us just in case back in town.
And a grand time was had by all…
All too soon, our bellies were empty and our day was done. One last run, add off for a top rate meal…
…and tall tales of the nifty moves (or was that the number of wipeouts?)
