Benjamin Kwan has received the 2010 American Academy of Neurology Saul R. Korey Award.
The Faculty of Medicine is proud to announce that Benjamin Kwan, a second year medical student has received the 2010 American Academy of Neurology Saul R. Korey Award.
During the American Academy of Neurology and American Academy of Neurology Foundation Awards on April 14, 2010, in Toronto, Benjamin Kwan was awarded for the best medical student essay “Neurogenetics: Parent of Origin and Child Gender Effects in Autistic Copy Number Variations”. It was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Daniel Geschwind, M.D., Ph.D, the Gordon and Virginia MacDonald Distinguished Chair in Human Genetics and professor of neurology and psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles, California. There is only one student chosen each year in the United States and Canada combined.
